As a former PEC Eagle, I must say it is rather strange stepping into the teacher role here! With a few years experience in a different district under my belt, I am stepping into an amazing, supportive team. . . which also includes my mother, Mrs. Norman! Her third grade classroom is one door down the hall . . . so if I am in trouble you know who to contact! ;)
I am a graduate of the International Baccalaureate program at Willow Canyon High School. Honors programs are an incredible opportunity for all students, and I am a huge advocate for them! In 2013 I graduate from Grand Canyon University with a degree in English Literature (Tip: I LOVE READING and WRITING!). I spent my first year teaching a Reading Intervention program to K-2 students in Tucson (go Wildcats). These past two years I taught English Literature to 7th and 8th graders at Irene Lopez School in downtown Phoenix. I am moderately bi-lingual in Spanish (I LOVE to practice speaking, so please feel free to have a conversation!). In my spare time I enjoy painting, writing poetry, and gaming (yes, I play PokemonGo). I have an ADORABLE dog named Harley (pictured). I also play a sport called Jugger on the weekends (pictures coming!). Recently, my significant other and I went on our first trip abroad to play at tournaments in Spain and Sweden! It was a wild backpacking adventure with the team, and I am excited to go again! I currently have plans to play in a Spanish tournament this year, and German tournament next summer (Go Desert Wolves!). Please feel free to contact me should any questions or concerns arrive. To meet in person, please schedule ahead of time if possible! E-mail is the best form of communication, as I can respond quickly and (mostly) throughout the day. If you choose to call, please try to do so before or after school (7:30-8:00am or until 3:30pm). Leave a message if I do not respond, and I will return your call promptly! You may also send notes with your lovely child and I will reply accordingly. E-mail: [email protected] Phone: 623.546.7235 Room A-2
